A message from the Executive Director - Major (Rtd) Titus Wabwire
Nature has enough for every body; it is just man who has decided to restrict most of the resources to a few due to selfishness. This then leaves us wallowing in vicious circle. Such a situation can drastically be changed for a new world order. Just a gesture of little love and compassion to your neighbor is bound to change the whole scenario. For example; the aid that Is from developed to developing countries is not just a contribution from well-to-do households. Many families skip certain meals to contribute towards this noble course. This is purely out of love.

Many children out there are yearning to be loved. Poverty, HIV/AIDS, conflicts, poor parenting, and domestic violence have deprived children their full life to enjoy love and compassion. The life they get exposed to turns them into vicious persons whereas me and you could change this for the better.
When you extend a loving hand to a child, you are training this person to love. And when a child, above all is trained to have relationship with God, they will always want to hear from, respond to, and be directed by God. This should not just be confined to your biological child but to all those in need.
Many of us in the developing world do not endeavor to understand the essence of humanitarian work. But PHAMA Foundation realized that generalizing this attitude is extremely poisonous. We therefore from a personal level ensure that the negative feelings of personal ego, jealousy, and fear that destroy one’s tranquility are addressed. that we must be caring and compassionate in our personal behavior to be able to work effectively for a caring and compassionate society.
This requires a disciplined process of self-reflection and contemplation about the values and purposes of our lives and the desire and willingness to change ourselves.
PHAMA Foundation therefore appreciates that undertaking this inner journey with courage can reward one with inner peace, greater energy and more effectiveness in one’s actions, an expansive compassion in our attitudes towards others and tenderness of the heart that, on a mass scale, can have profound social implications.
We are making a difference! |
